GAMING
A long time ago, in a land far
away, before there were collectable trading card and computer games
there was such a thing as rpgs (role playing games) where players
actually sat around a table and told each other what they were doing
and rolled dice, those funny ones with all the different sides, to see
if they accomplished what they sat out to do. At HallowCon you can
relive the good old days of real gaming with favorites such as D&D
(Yes, Dungeons and Dragons), and an assortment of Steve Jackson Games,
Savage World, 7th Sea, Looney Labs and much more.

Game Master: Andy Vetromile
2 to 6 players, ages 12 and

Last Night on Earth, published by Flying Frog
Productions, is a zombie-themed board game with five scenarios on a
modular board that pits heroes against zombies. Zombies and heroes have
different movement rules, of course, but the zombies are given
unlimited resources -- the heroes have limited resources and must work
together.
"Every element of the game is intended to be
cinematic, allowing players to jump into the action of a zombie movie.
The eight unique heroes are all based on horror movie arch-types like
the small town sheriff or the hospital nurse, while the various
scenarios for the game are like movie plots."
Game
Title: Pirate King
Game System:
Original from Temple Games
Game Master:
Zach Becker
Min/Maximum
players: 2-4
Exp. required:
None
BE A PIRATE .
. . BECOME A KING:
Pirate
King is a new twist on classic game play. A masterpiece
of blending
classic board game genres into one exciting adventure. As Captain
of the ship you will navigate your crew around the Caribbean to capture territories
and build defenses while picking up crewmen and cannons for your ship.
Along the way on your voyage, there will be great mysterious treasures
that help in combat, movement, money, and even curses!
This
is a game of economic management, property building, and naval combat.
Victory can be achieved through force of arms, economics or a
combination of the two. Why pay when you can fight? That’s
the pirate
way. But only a wise captain knows when the price of fighting is
too
high. It all depends on what kind of Captain you want to be on
your
way in becoming the Pirate King.
And from our Steve Jackson
Games' "Men in Black"
GURPS Martial Arts Launches at
Hallowcon!
We're proud to host the official regional launch of
GURPS Martial Arts!

martial arts adventures in room C of Suite 406 from late afternoon
until the wee hours on Friday and Saturday. It's a different adventure
each day, and loot and swag await he (or she) who runs cold steel
through the most pirate hearts! Whether you're a GURPS veteran or
you've never even touched a roleplaying book, stop by for some action
and adventure!
Friday's Adventure: An Ill Wind.
When the dreaded Turkish corsair "Bloody Bill" sails
into the sleepy
coastal town of Monseratto, can anything save the townspeople from the
horrible fate which awaits them? A handful of strangers, from different
lands and with different skills, must band together to fend off this
menace.
Saturday's Adventure: This Iron Cage.
Darghouth Reis, the "Pirate King of the Barbary
Coast", is a man with a
grudge. Those who once dared to stand against him have been captured,
one at a time, and imprisoned in his dungeon for execution. If they are
strong enough and
fast enough, perhaps they can escape... and then, revenge!
We will also be hosting the official Chattanooga
area launch of the new
Illuminati expansion, Bavarian Fire Drill. Rev. Bob, our resident
Man In Black, will be on hand to train new suckers
apprentices in the fine arts of backstabbing and world
domination. He
will also be available to run most of Steve Jackson's other board and
card games; a full list will be posted on-site. Highlights
include Munchkin (backstabbing and dungeon crawling), SPANC
(backstabbing and space piracy), Ninja Burger (backstabbing and the
ancient art of fast food delivery), GreedQuest (backstabbing as a cross
between a dungeon crawl and a pub crawl), and Spooks (backstabbing you
can do even when barely lucid). In addition, he will have other
Halloween favorites, such as Cthulhu 500 (where the horrors of
Lovecraft meet the horror of NASCAR) from Atlas Games and the brand-new
Zombie Fluxx from Looney Labs.
