Lonny Harper

For Lonny, it all began in second grade after and errant episode of Buck Rogers, a bottle of Elmer’s Glue, and a simple, parental question:  What happened at school today?  Stories, no matter how whimsical or naïve, fueled the gremlins turning the cogs in Lonny’s mind.  It was a need to entertain.  A need to see people held enraptured by the yarns spun from childhood or at least the need to see macaroni squirt out someone’s nose.  That did it for Lonny.
But with every tale told, every story shared, a void remained, dogging every word.  However, everything became clear while collaborating on a novel with his long-time chum, Joe Dickerson.  Seeing a need in the literary market for a venue for new writers, the two founded Aberrant Dreams, the online magazine of speculative fiction.
Through this collaboration as co-editors, Lonny’s greatest dream came to pass:  to star in a comic strip.  “Slip of the Pen” is the online webcomic portraying the “true” behind the scenes look at what goes on in the publishing of Aberrant Dreams.  Look for Lonny in his signature “Lapsus Calami” t-shirt.  Buy him a sam’mich and you just might wind up in the next “Slip of the Pen” strip.
